This month the seaside resort of Brighton will be one of the best places in the country to catch some of the newest and hottest independent cinematic releases. Brighton is home to the Cinecity Film Festival, an event which is dedicated to the magic of the silver screen. If you are a film fan, this is one event that you will not want to miss.

The Cinecity Film Festival is almost celebrating its 10th anniversary, as it has been showcasing exclusive screenings and special events ever since 2003. The festival not only celebrates a love of watching films, it embraces the entire culture of cinema including reading, writing, blogging and discussing films. During this year’s festival, the events and screenings will be spread across the city in 10 separate venues including the Duke of York’s Picture House. This year’s programme will feature a great mix of talks, screenings, debates, artist’s installations, previews and retrospectives.
