The Natural Beauties of Chile

ChileChile is a country which has something for everyone! It extends on a stretch of land near the Pacific Ocean. The greatest natural penguin colony , Lost Pinguinso, is the place where more than 120000 Magellan penguins gather. Situated on the tiny island of Magdalena, it becomes the mating ground for the funniest of penguins between the month of September and October.

The San Rafael Icecap located in the National Park San Rafel, is a huge ice formation which can be accessed by boat or plane. If you choose to travel there by boat, you are in for a real spectacle, because you will be passing through the narrow canals of the Aisen region. What you see from the vessel, is actually only the tip of the iceberg.

Hidden in the Atacama Desert is the Valle de la Luna, a bizarrely beautiful endless stretch of sand. The place has been formed after centuries of winds and floods which have created a moon-like relief.

Another beautiful natural wonder can be found in the Torres del Paine National Park situated in the southernmost part of Patagonia. The most spectacular landscape are the three “Towers of Bread”, which are basically granite rock formations born from ice.

One of the most isolated islands in the world, the Easter Island, is situated at the south-eastern region of the Pacific Ocean. The island is notorious for the 887 monumental rock statues called “moai” which were sculpted by the Rapanui people centuries ago.
