How the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos Compares With Other Los Cabos Resorts

Alternative #1: Hilton Los Cabos Beach and Golf Resort | $300 | 4.5 Stars

The all-inclusive resort that most closely competes with the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is the Hilton Los Cabos Beach and Golf Resort. For about the same price as the Ziva, the Hilton gives you about the same amenities. The primary difference, though, is golf. You can get in 18 holes at the Hilton without leaving the property. If you want to play while staying at the Hyatt Ziva, expect to ride a shuttle to an off-site golf course. Otherwise, whether you choose the Hyatt or the Hilton likely depends on your brand loyalty.

Alternative #2: Paradisus by Melia Los Cabos | $300 | 4 Stars

Paradisus by Melia Los Cabos

While large, the Paradisus by Melia Los Cabos has a boutique feel. If you appreciate architecture and opulence, the Paradisus may appeal to you slightly more than the Hyatt Ziva. Of course, you don’t get as many dining options at the Paradisus. There also is no on-site golf course at the resort.

Alternative #3: Villa del Palmar Beach Resort and Spa Los Cabos | $175 | 4 Stars

resort swimming pool

An affordable alternative to the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is the Villa del Palmar Beach Resort and Spa. This property usually costs about $100 less per night than the Ziva. Nonetheless, it is an all-inclusive resort with excellent dining and spa options. If you have children, though, this place may not appeal to them. Unlike the Hyatt Ziva, the kids’ programming at the Villa del Palmar is limited.

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Excellent furnishings
  • A variety of dining options
  • A family-friendly vacation

Cons

  • No on-site golfing options
  • Some spa offerings have an additional cost

The Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos has a decidedly high-quality feel to it. With lavish bedding, bathrobes, slippers and in-demand toiletries, the hotel has everything you need to feel like a king or queen. The public areas are nicely decorated as well. Additionally, the pools, chairs and landscaping have an exotic look.

With many all-inclusive resorts, you only get a couple dining options. That isn’t the case with the Ziva. In fact, your taste buds likely won’t get bored with the 17 dining and drinking places on the property. If you do, you can order room service from an extensive menu.

If you need a place where you children feel welcome, the Hyatt Ziva is hard to beat. With a number of child-friendly swimming pools and a kids’ club program, the resort has a variety of ways to entertain young tourists. If you want to get away from the young ones, the resort has several adult-only areas.

We realize that not everyone loves to golf. Still, we think many vacationers want the option of playing golf at their all-inclusive resort in Los Cabos. Unfortunately, the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos does not have an on-site golfing option. If you want to swing some clubs, you have to travel to a nearby golf club. On the bright side, if you make the short trip, you can play on a championship-grade course. That is probably enough to satisfy golfing enthusiasts.

The Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is an all-inclusive resort. When you arrive, you don’t have to worry about paying extra for fun, food and other amenities. Unfortunately, though, some of the spa offerings have an additional cost. You also need to bring a bit of cash for tipping.

The Verdict: The Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos Is an Excellent All-Inclusive Resort

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos

In our opinion, the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is an excellent place to stay at the tip of the Baja Peninsula. Sure, you can find other hotels with different options, but no place is more complete in its offerings than the Ziva. Whether you are traveling alone, with your family or with colleagues, you are virtually certain to fall in love with the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.
